Our Gnyati “Shree Ghoghari Dasha Shrimali Gnyati” was formed in the Samvat Year 1964 i.e. about 108 year ago with a basic object to help the needy people of our community. As a part of its main object the Gnyati is providing Relief to Needy, Educational activities, Scholarships, Merit Awards, Prizes, Medical Relief. The Gnyati also conducts Samuh Lagna, Cultural & Entertainment Programs, Annual Get-to-Gather, Sports Competition, Distribution of Sweets at reasonable rates and so on.

The expenses for carrying out basic activities are met through the interest earned on the deposit in Corpus Fund & Donations from Members.

The main activities undertaken by Gnyati under various Corpus Funds are as under:

Shri Jayantilal Ratilal Doshi & Smt. Shantaben Jayantilal Doshi - "Permanent Sahayak Fund"

* The Gnyati provides cash assistance to the needy members, around 60 members are provided with such help on confidential basis.

Shri Chandulal Kalyanji Kapasi- “Permanent Scholarship Fund”

* Under this scheme the Scholarships are given to the bright students of our community. There are about more than 100 students who have been awarded scholarships.

Shri Manilal Vanmaildas Bhagat & Smt. Savitaben Vanmalidas Bhagat - “Permanent Education Fund”

* This is one of the oldest activities the Gnyati has undertaken.

* Under this scheme Gnyati provides the students with books from Standard ‘I’ to any recognized educational course.

* Exercise Note Books are also provided at more than 50% concession to about 300 odd students. This is possible due to generous Donors who give their Advertisements to be printed on Note Books.

Shri Shantilal Pragji Mehta & Shri Bhupatrai Pragji Mehta - "Permanent Medical Relief Fund"

* Under this scheme the expenses incurred by a member on Medical Treatment, Hospitalization etc. are reimbursed as per available fund from time to time, to the members.

Shri Jashvantlal Mansukhlal Mehta & Smt. Sarojben Jashvantlal Mehta - "Permanent Prize Fund"

* The students having passed SSC, HSC, T.Y.B.com, MBBS (Final) and standing first in Gnyati are awarded with a Merit Certificate and a Cash Award of Rs.5000/- each.

* All other students who stood First & Second in all streams are also awarded.

Shri Harkisondas Achratlal Sheth & Smt. Deviben Harkisondas Sheth - "Permanent Computer Education Fund"

* To aware the students on the knowledge of computer this scheme was started.

* The students studying with the subject of Computer are reimbursed the fees.

Smt. Triveniben Chhotalal Mehta - "Kayami Utkarsh Fund"

* Under this scheme various activities are undertaken they are – Annual Get-to-Gather Function, Samuh Lagna, Educational & Cultural Programs, Sports, Blood Donation Camp, Entertainment Programs such as Picnic, Drama, Musical Program etc.

* Beside above, Gnyati is providing its quarterly news-letter "Gnyati Patrika" free of cost to its more than 4000 members spread all over the country.
